Book Club is sponsored by Carol Stream Woman’s Club but includes members and non-members. We meet once a month at a member’s home and enjoy discussing the month’s selection as well as refreshments and social “girl-friend” time. We don’t meet on a specific day of the month but the hostess for that month sets the day and time and sends out information via email. The information is also posted on the Woman’s Club’s Facebook page.
We welcome new members – come try us out. For information, call 630-200-3944 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
March Book Club Notes
|Thanks to Sue Evans for hosting the March discussion on “March” by Geraldine Brooks. We had 11 ladies attend so the discussion was robust and interesting. We were also able to fill in the hostesses and dates for the rest of 2019, copy is attached to this newsletter. Thanks to all who opened their home to our group!
The April books is, “The Good Daughter” by Karen Slaughter. Two girls are forced into the woods at gunpoint. One runs for her life. One is left behind. The book is packed with twists and turns, brimming with emotion and heart, The Good Daughter is fiction at its most thrilling. We hope you enjoy it! Joan Knapp (not a Woman’s Club member) has agreed to host the discussion on April 29th. Please RSVP on Meetup.
If you like to read ahead, the May book is “The Sleepwalker” by Chris Bohjalian.
