Book Club is sponsored by Carol Stream Woman’s Club but includes members and non-members. We meet once a month at a member’s home and enjoy discussing the month’s selection as well as refreshments and social “girl-friend” time. We don’t meet on a specific day of the month but the hostess for that month sets the day and time and sends out information via email. The information is also posted on the Woman’s Club’s Facebook page.
We welcome new members – come try us out. For information, call 630-200-3944 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Book Club Notes
Thanks to Barb Siegman for hosting the August discussion on “Still Life” by Louise Penny. Thanks for dinner, Barb, and all those who brought a side dish. As usual, we had a great group, wonderful discussion and good food! Although it rained and we couldn’t enjoy Barb’s wonderful patio, we did enjoy the basement with all its beachy murals and we got to meet Fern, the new kitty! Thanks Barb!
The September books is, “Memoirs of a Geisha” by Arthur Golden. Laurie Johnson is hosting. Please RSVP via Meetup so Laurie knows how many to plan for.
If you like to read ahead, the October book is “The Dive from Clausen’s Pier” by Ann Packer. Cindy Allston will host the October discussion.
